Carbon to Value Initiative General FAQs
What is the Carbon to Value Initiative?
The C2V Initiative is a unique partnership that leverages corporate involvement and incubation services to drive the creation of a thriving innovation ecosystem for the commercialization of carbontech—technologies that capture and convert carbon dioxide (CO₂) into valuable end products or services.
How does C2V help carbontech startups?
C2V is first and foremost a partnerships accelerator that provides an opportunity to work hands-on with corporations, nonprofits, and governments at the forefront of the emerging carbontech economy. Startups selected to participate in Year 4 of the program gain access to the Carbontech Leadership Council (CLC), an invitation-only group of executive leaders across diverse industry sectors driving the future of carbontech. Additionally, startups will benefit from customized workshop programming and access to resources and mentorship from the Urban Future Lab, Greentown Labs, Fraunhofer USA and Fraunhofer Gesellschaft networks.
What is the timeline for the Year 4 program?
The C2V Initiative is a six-month accelerator program that includes 80+ hours of customized workshop programming. Startups can also expect to devote time outside of the program workshops. Key program dates are as follows:
